Electrician prices in Chișinău 2026

Labour for a socket costs 100-150 MDL, for a light fitting 200-400 MDL, and a new distribution board for a flat 800-1500 MDL. The callout with diagnosis is 150-200 MDL and you don't pay it separately if we stay to do the job. We tell you the exact price on site, once we've seen the state of the network, and it doesn't change along the way without your agreement.

The price covers labour, checking the circuit after fitting, and cleaning up afterwards. Materials (cable, boxes, breakers, sockets) are paid separately; we can buy them ourselves from Volta or Supraten and give you the receipt.

Switch off the main breaker in the board and stop using whatever triggered the problem. In older blocks, loose contacts in junction boxes heat up for months before the insulation melts, so if you smell burning plastic, don't leave it until tomorrow. Between 08:00 and 20:00 we come the same day and find the spot that's overheating.

We replace old ceramic fuses with breakers, an RCD and a voltage relay, with every circuit labelled, so you know what you're switching off.

Lines for Major Appliances

We run a separate line from the board, with its own breaker, for an induction hob, oven, boiler or washing machine, so the fuse doesn't trip when everything runs at once.

Full Rewiring During Renovation

We replace aluminium wires with copper cable, chase channels into the wall, and prepare the network before plastering. The work is priced per point, and the channel per metre.

When you move the meter, increase the power, or connect a new flat to the network, we prepare the board and the meter position for inspection and sealing by the network operator.

Licensed electrician in Chișinău: what it means

A licensed electrician can show a document confirming their right to work on electrical installations and their electrical safety qualification group. This matters especially when the job touches the board at the entrance, the meter, or the riser feeding the flat. Before you let someone near the board, ask to see the document: it's a normal request, not an insult.

The difference also shows in how the work is done. In older blocks in Botanica or Rîșcani the wires are aluminium and break easily when bent: we join them with terminals, not by twisting, or replace the whole circuit with copper. In the bathroom and kitchen we fit a 30 mA RCD. Before we restore power, we check every line with a tester, not by eye.

It depends on the job. Do you work 24/7? What do I do if it breaks at night?
We take calls daily between 08:00 and 20:00, including Saturdays and Sundays, but not 24/7. If the problem happens at night, switch off the breaker for the affected line or the main breaker in the board, unplug whatever triggered the fault, and don't touch hot boxes or sockets. From 08:00 call us and we'll agree the earliest time we can come.
Do I need to buy the cables and sockets myself?
Not necessarily. If you'd rather not, we'll go to the shop ourselves (Volta, Supraten) and buy the materials needed. We show you the receipt at the end, and you pay exactly what they cost, with no mark-up.
Do you guarantee electrical work?
Yes, on complex jobs: board replacement, new wiring, a separate line. We write the guarantee period for the labour on the job sheet before we start, so it doesn't depend on anyone's memory. If something fails within that period because of the installation, we fix it free of charge.
I live in an old block. Can earthing be fitted?
Usually not a real one, like in a new block. In most old blocks in Chișinău, flats have no real earthing, and connecting the wire to the water pipe or the radiator is dangerous for you and your neighbours. What can always be fitted is protection in the board: a 30 mA RCD, which cuts the current if it leaks through a person's body, and a voltage relay, which cuts the power on a surge and saves your appliances.
